2 high school students, 17 and 14, suffer life-threatening injuries in Bourne crash, police say
The teens are students at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School.
Two teenagers were hospitalized Tuesday morning with life-threatening injuries after the pickup truck they were in slid off the road and into a tree in Bourne.Bourne police said they responded to the crash on MacArthur Boulevard/Route 28 North, near Barlows Landing Road, around 7:19 a.m. At the scene, they found the Toyota Tacoma had slipped off the road with the driver and passenger, ages 17 and 14, in the car.“The Bourne Fire Department used mechanical means to free the two students,” police said. “Both students were transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island with life threatening injuries.”Both teens are students at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School, police said. “The roads were being treated, but were icy at the time of the crash,” officers wrote. The crash remains under investigation.
