N.H. couples help break world record by kissing under mistletoe at Anheuser-Busch brewery

One engagement, three timezones, and 896 kissing couples later...

Couples at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Merrimack, New Hampshire, helped shatter a world record this weekend: the most people kissing under mistletoe.

The New Hampshire couples joined others Saturday evening at the beer giant’s Colorado and Missouri facilities in the attempt to break the previous multi-venue record, which stood at 839.

Each couple was given their own sprig of mistletoe, and Guinness Book of World Records officials were stationed at each location to tabulate the results.

Right before the results were announced, NBC 10 Boston reported, one man added to the night’s romance by popping the question.

One engagement, three timezones, and 896 kissing couples later, there’s a new world record for the most people locking lips under mistletoe.

Guinness World Records also confirmed that Anheuser-Busch broke the record for the most couples kissing under mistletoe at a single venue that night in St. Louis. That new record is 480.
