The raindrops were falling on their heads, but that didn’t stop the local residents who’d been looking forward to the legal sale of recreational marijuana in Massachusetts from getting in line early one year ago, when the first two retail stores opened on Nov. 20, 2018.
Cultivate in Leicester and New England Treatment Access (NETA) in Northampton drew large crowds on that sleety November morning, kicking off a year of learning and growing (no pun intended) for the owners of those shops. Below, some images from the historic occasion.
