Revere fire forces 2 families, including 5 children, out of home
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fourteen people, including five children, escaped a Revere house fire unscathed early Sunday morning, Boston 25 News reported. The multi-family house, however, was a total loss.
Crews arrived around 5:30 a.m. at the burning Florence Street home.
An investigation determined the fire started on the second or third floor and spread to the attic, according to WHDH. Video from the scene showed flames pouring from what appears to be the attic.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but one of the home’s residents told WCVB it started from a ceiling lamp.
The Red Cross said it is helping the displaced residents.
