Lyft driver dragged from car, assaulted by passenger
The man pulled the woman out of the car, assaulted her and took the vehicle.
BRAINTREE, Mass. (AP) — Police in Massachusetts say a man has been arrested for dragging a female Lyft driver out of her car, assaulting her, and driving off.
Braintree police say the man had been a passenger in the woman’s car when he suddenly told her to pull over at an intersection at around 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
The man, who police haven’t identified, then pulled the woman out of the car, assaulted her and took the vehicle.
Police say he crashed about a mile away in Weymouth and was quickly arrested.
They say the woman suffered minor injuries in the altercation and was treated at the hospital.
It’s not clear if the man is currently in custody. Braintree police didn’t respond to requests for comment Saturday.
