7-year-old boy reported missing from Mattapan found safe, police say

A 7-year-old boy who was reported missing from Mattapan Friday morning has been found safe, police said.
Bienquisto Jean-Pierre was located after authorities called on the public for help in finding the boy, who was unaccounted for after he was last seen around 6:20 a.m. near 480 Norfolk St., Boston police said in a statement.
Police issued the notice around 9:35 a.m. Friday. Authorities announced Jean-Pierre was found safe in a second statement within an hour later.
“The Boston Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance,” officials said.
