School shooting threatened at Lawrence High same morning as gas leak
There is no indication the threat and the leak were related.
An anonymous school shooting threat was made this morning toward Lawrence High School, according to Lawrence police officer Robert Bruner.

Bruner said the threat was reported just after 8:30 a.m. and authorities were facilitating a “controlled dismissal” out of caution.
A release from the department said “several law enforcement resources” were deployed to the school.
The threat came just hours after a gas leak was reported, causing more than 100 people to have to evacuate their homes. There is no indication the threat and the leak were related.
