Two more Massachusetts communities reported that Amazon packages were found in the trash.

Malden and Swampscott police departments both reported numerous undelivered packages found in the trash. This was in addition to the plethora of packages pulled from the garbage at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Burlington on Monday.

In Malden, Capt. Marc Gatcomb said the packages were found in the Forest Dale Cemetery trash on Monday night by a resident — there were 29.

“Yesterday Amazon came by and retrieved all the packages,” he said Wednesday morning, noting that the department was working with the company to figure out where the packages came from and how they got into the garbage.

Swampscott police said Tuesday on Facebook that there were “at least 15 packages addressed to Swampscott residents” found in a trash bin, also on Monday night. The department also contacted Amazon, and asked anyone who didn’t receive their package to call 781-595-1111.

In an email to Boston.com on Wednesday afternoon, an Amazon spokesperson said the same delivery driver who dumped the packages in Burlington was the one who did so in Malden and Swampscott. All of the packages were picked up from the police departments — Burlington police had said they delivered the ones found there — and those expecting packages will be notified if there’s a delay.

“This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery partners and how they serve customers,” the company said in a statement. “This individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages.”
