A goat head was found in the street in Hyde Park
City public works crews were called to the area Monday morning.
City public works staff were asked to respond to an unusual call Monday morning – to remove a severed goat head at the intersection of Walter and Pierce streets in Hyde Park.Officials were notified around 8 a.m., according to the call for city services. By 8:54 a.m., public works had picked up the head and cleaned the area with a mechanical sweeper.Boston police weren’t called to the scene, according to Officer Stephen McNulty, a spokesman for the department. However, he said that public works has been asked to file a police report.“We don’t know if it was hit by a car or mauled by a coyote,” he said.The incident was brought up in a post to the “Hyde Park, MA neighbors” Facebook group, and drew a variety of responses. They ranged from, “Hyde Park is a lot of things, but dull isn’t one of them,” to “That’s it I’m moving.”
