Pedestrian struck and killed in Hadley
The female's name and age have not yet been released.
A female pedestrian was struck and killed early Friday morning in Hadley.
She was hit near 53 Bay Road and taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to a statement from the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.
The driver, who authorities said remained on scene and was cooperative, has not been cited or charged.
The female’s name and age have not been released. Northwestern District Attorney spokeswoman Mary Carey said the office expects to release that information Saturday.
Massachusetts State Police are assisting the Hadley Police Department with the investigation.
