A truck driver apparently thought they could clear a Storrow Drive bridge. They didn’t.

No one was injured.

Storrow Drive has claimed yet another victim. An “over-height truck” hit a bridge while attempting to navigate Storrow Drive westbound around 12:45 p.m. on Friday, according to State Police Lt. Tom Ryan. He said the truck is “too tall” to continue down the road.“It looks like the truck may have to be backed up,” he said, adding that police on scene were working on figuring out what to do. No one was injured.

A video from the scene shows the top of what appears to be a truck from Bonollo Provisions, a wholesale food service provider based out of Providence, Rhode Island, wedged beneath the bridge, which has a posted height of 11 feet, 6 inches. The truck then backs up, revealing damage to its top.
