19-year-old killed in crash on I-495 in Andover
State police are investigating.
State police are investigating a crash on I-495 in Andover that left a 19-year-old Lowell man dead early Tuesday morning.ย The preliminary investigation indicates that the 19-year-old driver was traveling northbound near Exit 41 around 4:40 a.m. when, for reasons still being determined, the vehicle went off the right side of the highway, crashing into the wood-line, according to police.ย

The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.ย
โThe cause of this crash remains under investigation,โ state police said.ย
The right travel and breakdown lanes were closed for more than two hours while authorities worked at the scene.ย
