Police release photos of ‘vehicle of interest’ in deadly Charlestown hit-and-run

Boston police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a man in Charlestown around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.On Friday afternoon, the Boston Police Department asked for the public’s help in locating a “vehicle of interest,” a white Ford F150 pickup with plywood fencing on the truck bed. The truck may have damage to its front driver’s side bumper, grill, and headlights, police said in a release.

The man was struck in the area of 99 Alford St., near the Boston-Everett line, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time of the incident, the pickup was seen traveling down Alford Street toward Everett, according to the release. It was last spotted entering the rotary in the area of Broadway and Main Street in Everett.

Officer James Moccia, a department spokesperson, said Friday morning that he did not know the age or identity of the victim.
