MBTA: Regular service resumes on Blue Line after power problem during morning commute

The transit agency warned commuters of residual delays Wednesday morning as shuttle buses were being phased out between Maverick and Bowdoin stations.

Regular service has resumed on the Blue Line, after a power problem near Government Center shut down trains running between Maverick and Bowdoin stations during the Wednesday morning commute.Shuttle buses temporarily replaced train service following the outage just after 8 a.m. The MBTA warned passengers to expect “residual delays of up to 10 minutes” as train service resumed around 9:30 a.m.

Facing delays on the line, exasperated passengers shared photos on social media of riders being evacuated from a train in a tunnel and crowded platforms filled with commuters.
