Man struck and killed on I-93 south in Braintree, police say
State police initially responded to calls Sunday night for a man lying down on the interstate.
A man was struck and killed by a Honda Accord on I-93 south in Braintree Sunday night, state police said.Police received multiple calls around 8:30 p.m. for a man lying down in the middle of the interstate. When troopers arrived, they found that the man had been struck and was not responsive, according to police. First responders attempted CPR, and the man was brought to South Shore Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The three women in the Honda were taken to Milton Hospital.Police have identified the man, but have not released that information yet. They are continuing to investigate what happened, including why the man was in the roadway.
