Boston firefighters battle ‘large grass fire’ near Fenway
State police had set up detours in the area.
A “large grass fire” broke out Thursday near 59 Fenway, according to the Boston Fire Department.Flames were showing with large plumes of smoke, as seen in a photo the department shared on Twitter just after 12:30 p.m.

At the scene, firefighters rescued a man who suffered burns.

State police set up detours around Park Drive at Brookline Avenue, the department said on Twitter. Those were being taken down around 12:37 p.m. as the fire was “suppressed.”
