A pair of dog and cat “best friends” surrendered to the MSPCA’s Boston shelter last week went home together after just a few days.

Leila and Kitty shared a makeshift room at the shelter, breaking MSPCA protocol, with shelter staff determined to keep the two together.
The shelter received over 100 calls and emails from potential adopters before the pair went home with Andre and Elizabeth Marion, of Sudbury, over the weekend, shelter officials say.
