Woman on bicycle fatally struck by cement truck in Boston
She was hit around 1:30 p.m. Friday in the city’s Fenway neighborhood.
A woman on a bicycle who was struck by a cement truck Friday afternoon in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood has died, according to state police.
The woman was hit around 1:30 p.m. on Brookline Avenue at Park Drive, state police spokesman David Procopio said in an email.
At 2:13 p.m., Procopio said the woman had been taken to a Boston hospital. At 3:54 p.m., he said that she had been pronounced dead.
The driver of the cement truck was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for evaluation, Procopio said in a subsequent update.
The woman’s identity is not being released at this time. The crash remains under investigation by state police.
