Police say 12 people were arrested out of the 1.5 million who attended the Patriots’ victory parade
The “large, large majority of fans” cheering on the Super Bowl champions on Tuesday were “extremely well-behaved,” police said.
While most of the more than a million fans who turned out to cheer for the Patriots on Tuesday were “extremely well-behaved,” Boston police say a dozen people were arrested during the course of the celebrations on a range of charges.

About 1.5 million people gathered to watch the duck boat rolling rally, the “largest parade crowd in recent memory,” Mayor Marty Walsh said.

Twelve people were arrested on charges that ranged from disorderly behavior to drinking in public, seven of whom were from outside Boston, according to police spokeswoman Kim Tavares. Two adults and one juvenile were arrested on alcohol-related charges, while five Boston residents were arrested for fighting near 373 Washington St.
Tavares said seven of the 12 people arrested during the day were juveniles.
According to Boston EMS, 34 people were transported by first responders to area hospitals during the parade.
