A missing 12-year-old N.H. boy was found dead in a river. Police believe he fell through the ice.
Nathaniel Boily was reported missing after he didn't return home from Dover Middle School on Thursday afternoon.
A 12-year-old Dover, New Hampshire, boy — reported missing on Thursday — is dead after a New Hampshire Fish and Game Department dive time pulled his body from the Bellamy River on Friday afternoon, according to Dover police. Police believe Nathaniel Boily fell through the ice and accidentally drowned. The boy was reported missing after he didn’t return home from Dover Middle School on Thursday afternoon. Officials began searching for him Thursday evening and continued throughout the night.An investigation brought police to the river near Back River Road and Central Avenue.“Evidence in the area indicated Nathaniel had fallen through the ice,” they said.The dive team went to the scene, and Boily’s body was pulled from the water around 1 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Boily’s cause of death will be officially determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which will perform an autopsy.The incident remains under investigation by Dover police’s Special Investigations Unit.
