Man stabbed in Suffolk Superior Court building
The man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with what were believed to be nonlife-threatening injuries, state police said.
A 22-year-old man was stabbed in the Suffolk County Superior Court building in downtown Boston after state police say an argument took place between two groups of youths or young men around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.The argument reportedly began in an elevator. When the two groups got out on the second floor, there was an altercation, and the victim was stabbed near a cafeteria, police said.The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was still at Massachusetts General Hospital on Wednesday afternoon where police said he was brought following the incident. His injuries were believed to be nonlife-threatening, police said earlier.Police believe those involved left the courthouse immediately after the stabbing. Police are continuing to investigate what happened, including what the weapon was and how it was brought into the courthouse.The second floor of the courthouse was shut down while law enforcement officials investigated. No arrests have been made.
