Board revokes licenses of Providence’s Foxy Lady strip club
An attorney for the Foxy Lady said the club will likely appeal.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The licensing board in Providence has voted to shutter a well-known adult entertainment club after three dancers were arrested for allegedly offering to perform sex acts.
WPRI-TV reports the Providence Board of Licenses voted 3 to 1 on Wednesday to revoke the business licenses for the Foxy Lady, which forces the club to close.

Fausto Anguilla, an attorney for the Foxy Lady, said the club will likely appeal. The club has been open for decades.
The dancers were arrested last week for allegedly offering to perform sex acts for $300 to undercover police officers. Police say the dancers were operating with the knowledge of club management.
Foxy Lady manager Richard Angell said management was unaware of any alleged prostitution.
Mayor Jorge Elorza supported the police department’s request to revoke the licenses.
