Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in Revere crash, police say
Authorities said the woman was struck on Revere Beach Boulevard, south of Oak Island Street.
A 61-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Sunday evening when she tried to cross Revere Beach Boulevard and was struck by an SUV, police said.
The Revere woman was hit around 6:10 p.m. by a 54-year-old man from Lynn who was driving a 2011 Kia Soul northbound, according to a statement from Massachusetts State Police.
Authorities said the woman was struck south of Oak Island Street. She had attempted to cross the boulevard between two parked vehicles and was not in a crosswalk when she was hit, police said.
She was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries, officials said.
An 8-year-old passenger was in the Kia at the time of the crash. Neither the passenger nor the driver were injured, according to police.
