State police investigating what could be human remains on Revere Beach
Detectives were called to the scene late Friday morning, state police said.
State police are investigating what they say might be “a partial human remain” that washed up on Revere Beach.State police detectives working for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office were called to the scene late Friday morning.Initially the report came in as a “deceased person” on Twitter, but police clarified in a subsequent tweet that it was “potential human remains.”
An email from Suffolk County DA spokesman Jake Wark said a bone was found, and state police have passed it off to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, who will continue investigating.
Wark said officials don’t think there’s a connection between this discovery and what were “likely human remains” found in Rumney Marsh last week. He added that pathologists are continuing to examine these remains, but “have not reached any formal conclusions” about where they came from.
