2 children sustain ‘life-threatening injuries’ in Springfield crash
The children and an adult passenger were brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Two children reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries when the car they were in and a semi-truck collided on Page Boulevard near Carlos Street in Springfield.The city’s police and fire departments were called to the scene around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday for the crash, according to Ryan Walsh, a spokesman for Springfield police, on Twitter.

The two children were “extricated” from the vehicle, according to the city’s fire department on Twitter.

The kids, plus an adult passenger who was in the front seat, were brought to Baystate Medical Center, Walsh said. The police department’s traffic unit is investigating what happened.
