Man struck, killed by commuter rail train in Waltham
Police said the man was around 35 years old, but haven't publicly identified him yet.
A man around 35 years old was struck and killed by a Fitchburg Line commuter rail train in Waltham Tuesday morning, according to MBTA Transit Police.Police said they responded to the scene near Massassoit Street around 8:45 a.m., and the man was pronounced dead due to his injuries.Detectives are continuing to investigate what happened, but foul play isn’t suspected, according to police.
A number of Fitchburg Line trains were delayed or canceled as a result of the incident, the MBTA said on Twitter.
All inbound and outbound trains on the Fitchburg Line will experience delays due to police activity on the right of way. Individual alerts will be sent out as needed.

The T also began using busses to shuttle passengers.
Shuttle buses will replace trains between Waverly and Waltham due to police activity.
