Roxbury man arrested for Halloween night double stabbing

A Roxbury man was arrested in Pembroke over the weekend for allegedly stabbing two men in Roxbury on Halloween night, leaving one with life-threatening injuries, according to Boston police.

Shawn Padilla, 39, was placed under arrest in the area of 32 Oak St. in Pembroke on Saturday around 9:50 a.m. by Pembroke police and members of the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Unit, police said.

He allegedly stabbed two men around 7:25 p.m. on Wednesday near 70 Cedar St. in Roxbury.

One victim was found suffering from life-threatening wounds, and the other victim sustained nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. Both men were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive.

Padilla has been charged with assault with intent to murder and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, according to police.
