Police: A vehicle crashed into an MBTA bus in Upham’s Corner after ‘disregarding’ a red light
The crash remains under investigation.
Several people were injured Thursday morning after police say a vehicle crashed into an MBTA bus in a Dorchester intersection.Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said the preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the vehicle “disregarded a red light” and struck the bus.

“Minor injuries” were reported, according to the law enforcement official.
The crash occurred around 6:10 a.m. at Columbia and Dudley streets in Upham’s Corner, according MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo. Two passengers from the bus, the bus driver, and the operator of the car were transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries, he said.
The driver of the car was cited for failing to stop for the traffic light.
The crash remains under investigation, Sullivan said.
