Infant remains found in Connecticut are not from Massachusetts, police say

Andover was ruled out as the origin of a newborn boy's body, officials said.

The remains of a newborn baby boy found at a Connecticut recycling facility last week did not arrive there from Andover, Massachusetts, authorities announced Tuesday.

The town was ruled out as a possible origin because of the timeline of when recyclables were processed at the City Carting and Recycling center in Stamford, Andover Police Chief Patrick Keefe said in a statement.

Andover was initially one of five communities across three states being reviewed as where the body may have come from because the recycling materials at the facility were dropped off by companies that operate in those areas, officials said last week.
