‘Wicked unsettling’: Expletives fly over intercom during Red Line ride
Two juveniles were responsible for the R-rated language, according to MBTA officials.
Red Line train passengers bound for Braintree late Wednesday afternoon likely assumed they were in for a typical ride, filled with warnings over the intercom to stand clear of the closing doors and announcements of stops.Instead, they got an expletive-riddled trip, as captured in a Twitter user’s video. A voice over the train’s intercom starts by singing part of Khia’s “My Neck, My Back” in the video and continues with more R-rated material from there. Some riders took to Twitter at the time to bring the incident to the MBTA’s attention.

@MBTA red line to braintree (on train 1508) someone is saying a lot of inappropriate things over the intercom. There are kids in the train, for Christ’s sake.

The T did respond on Twitter and apologized for what happened.
Hi Tim. Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, some passengers made inappropriate announcements over the train’s intercom. A Red Line official checked the train and have cleared the passengers. We apologize for this experience.

MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said Thursday the incident was caused by a couple of youths around 5:45 p.m.
“Two juveniles gained access to an operator’s cab in the middle of the train and made inappropriate comments over the PA system,” he said in an email, adding that a Red Line official was sent to meet the train once it stopped. “Upon arrival at Quincy Adams Station, the juveniles ran from the train and exited the station.”
