He was taken to Cottage Hospital in Woodsville for treatment.Samor left home around 4 a.m. Tuesday — it was the opening day for waterfowl season, fish and game officials said.He told officials it was around 7 a.m. that, wearing chest waders, he went to get the duck, which had landed in a swamp.“He became hopelessly stuck and the more he struggled the more he sunk into the mud,” the release said.Family reported Samor missing on Wednesday morning and told officials that he was likely somewhere along the Connecticut River.A five-member search team — two Vermont game wardens and three New Hampshire Conservation officers — began to look for him. When he was found, Samor had been exposed to the elements, as it had rained overnight.
