A man was hit in the head with a gun in Downtown Crossing, police say

Police arrested a Dorchester man Monday night after he allegedly hit another man in the head with a revolver in Downtown Crossing.Adelson Lovensky, 20, was arrested a couple hours after the incident when officers located him near 128 Tremont St., according to Boston police.He’s charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon — the gun, carrying a dangerous weapon — a knife, and possession with the intent to distribute class D drugs.Police responded to the area of 17 Winter St. at 7:57 p.m. for a report of a person with a gun and spoke with the victim, who had a head injury. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital.When police arrested Lovensky at 10:20 p.m., they found he had “a camouflaged knife,” cash, a “large bag of marijuana,” and packaging used to sell illegal drugs, police said.He was expected to answer to the charges in Boston Municipal Court.
