Police are investigating a Jamaica Plain shooting

One person was injured by flying debris, police said, and another may have been shot.

Boston police responded to the area of Centre and Wyman streets in Jamaica Plain shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a shooting.

One person was injured by flying debris during the incident and was brought to a hospital, Officer James Kenneally said. A short time later, a man brought himself to a hospital with a “minor gunshot wound,” and police believe he may have been struck at the same scene.

“It appears to be connected to the incident on Centre Street,” Kenneally said.

No suspects had been arrested as of early Wednesday evening, and Kenneally said police were actively investigating the shooting.
