Man dies in apparent drowning in Ammonoosuc River in N.H.
Foul play doesn’t appear to be a factor, police said.
A 31-year-old man apparently drowned Sunday in the Ammonoosuc River in Bethlehem, N.H., police said.
The man, who authorities have not identified pending family notification, was found unconscious by a relative who recovered him from the river and performed CPR, New Hampshire State Police said in a statement.
State Police’s Marine Patrol and Bethlehem police and fire departments responded to a call of a possible drowning at the river at 12:40 p.m.
The man was ultimately pronounced dead. Police said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Bethlehem sits more than 130 miles north of Seabrook, N.H., where one person died after several swimmers were rescued from a rip current around the same time.
