Police investigating 3 robberies in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Authorities in Providence are investigating three robberies in the span of a few hours in the city.

WPRI-TV reports the first robbery happened late Friday when two men stole about $250 from a gas station. Police are searching for the suspects in that case.

Police say around midnight three teens assaulted a man and took off with his cell phone and wallet. The teens were caught and arrested.

Police are also looking for the suspect in the robbery of a gas station around 2 a.m. Police say the masked man with a gun stole about $85 and cigarettes.
