Penny Packers food truck owner says VP’s visit forced him to shut down for the day
Thanks, Vice President Mike Pence — and the City of Boston, apparently.
That’s what Penny Packers Food Truck owner Kevin McGuire is saying after he was told that his small business would have to cease operations Tuesday because Pence is paying a visit to the Langham Hotel for a pricey fund-raiser.
McGuire said he received a call from Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s office of economic development late Monday night, telling him that his food truck would not be allowed to park on Seaport Boulevard.
