Thousands of people participated Saturday in Boston’s March for Our Lives, which began in Roxbury at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School and ended with a rally on Boston Common.
The Boston march was one of hundreds of protests against gun violence held worldwide. It was part of a movement calling for stricter gun laws in the U.S., led by survivors of the deadly shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, last month.
Organizers of the Boston event hoped to host one of the largest rallies, and on Saturday, reporters, photographers, and media outlets captured overhead views of the sea of protesters stretching through the city’s streets and filling up the Common:
