Maine records 6th snowmobile-related fatality
GREENVILLE, Maine (AP) — Maine Game Wardens say they’ve recovered the body of a man who apparently rode his snowmobile onto open water on Moosehead Lake.
Wardens say they discovered the body of 46-year-old Matthew Dubien in open water Wednesday morning. They say the Greenville man was last seen leaving a restaurant the night before, and family members reported him missing Wednesday morning.
The investigation into the sixth snowmobile-related death this season.
Wardens are warning that open water is appearing on some lakes, including Moosehead, that were covered with ice a few weeks ago.
