Police: 22-year-old man shot and killed in Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A 22-year-old man has been killed in a shooting in Providence.
Deputy Police Chief Thomas Verdi tells the Providence Journal the man was sitting in a parked car Tuesday night when someone approached the vehicle and shot him. Verdi says the wounded man drove forward a short distance before crashing into another vehicle. He was found unconscious behind the wheel and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police have not released any information on possible suspects or motive.
The name of the deceased man has not been released.
