Power was restored to the Green Line around 7:29 a.m., but delays on the entire Green Line are expected to continue during some of the Thursday morning commute.

Buses are still being used on the C Line between Kenmore Square and Cleveland Circle, but MBTA spokesman Joseph Pesaturo wrote in an e-mail that as rail service resumes, the shuttle buses will be phased out.

The T has already restored rail service between Kenmore Square and the Fenway station on the D Line, Pesaturo wrote around 7:29 a.m.

The power outages on the C and D branches were blamed for generating “moderate’’ delays on the entire Green Line, the T reported around 6:09 a.m. The power problem was first posted to the T’s system alert page around 5:25 a.m.

Drivers on the southbound side of the Southeast Expressway are also facing a slow ride following a multiple-vehicle crash near the South Bay Shopping Center in Dorchester. State Police reported minor injuries, but cautioned that delays are occurring.

Troopers are also dealing with a separate crash on the southbound Expressway near the Granite Avenue exit in Milton, according to MassDOT. The two left lanes were closed as a result, according to officials.

Pesaturo issued an apology to passengers in an e-mail earlier Thursday.

“The MBTA apologizes for the disruption in service,’’ he wrote.
