Vermont man puts ‘very mean turkey’ up for sale — but not to eat
A Vermont man is trying to sell his pet turkey under the condition that the buyer does not eat the bird.
Dan Ehlers, of Barnet, bought what he thought was the perfect pet for sale online, driving three hours to Massachusetts to pick up a turkey, according to WCAX.

But during the drive back, the bird broke out of its cage.
“Must have been funny for people to see a turkey attacking a person driving,” Ehlers told the station.
The turkey also targeted Ehlers’s wife, Jennifer, once they returned home.
“It’s a workout going to work,” she said. “I had to run to my car so he wouldn’t get me.”
The family even tried getting Kenny a girlfriend, Lilly, but he was still aggressive.
They now have an ad on Craiglist to sell the “very mean turkey” with Lilly.
According to the listing, Kenny will not stop once he hones in on someone. He chases people out of the driveway — even the WCAX News team.
For $50, Kenny can be yours with the one caveat.
“You can’t eat him,” Ehlers told the station. “He’s not food.”
