It’s long past Boston’s moving day, but this truck still got Storrowed
A truck hit an overpass on Storrow Drive Tuesday morning.
A truck caused westbound traffic backups Tuesday morning after it hit an overpass on Storrow Drive.
The truck’s roof was torn off when it hit the Fairfield Street Footbridge around 6 a.m., according to WBZ. State trooper Dustin Fitch said it did not appear that anyone was injured in the crash, nor was there any damage to the bridge.

The incident is still under investigation, Fitch said.
“Storrowing” is Boston’s way of referring to what happens to moving trucks when they attempt to take Storrow Drive, which has a low clearance. The city even warned truck drivers not to get Storrowed last September.
But the distinction is not reserved just for Boston newcomers. Last year, a duck boat got Storrowed after it was diverted from its regular route.
