In addition to the ongoing changes for Red Line weekend service, buses will replace some Orange line service this weekend on Oct. 28 and 29. Here’s what you need to know:

Red Line

Due to the Longfellow Bridge Project, shuttle buses will replace trains between Park Street and Kendall/MIT Stations on weekends through Dec. 17. (Trains will run normally during Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 25 through 26.)

Shuttle buses will run on a loop between the Kendall, Charles/MGH, and Park Street stations. They can be found at the following locations:

Inbound toward Park Street

  • Kendall (325 Main Street, Cambridge)
  • Charles/MGH (Corner of Cambridge Street and W. Cedar Street, Boston)

Outbound toward Kendall

  • Park Street (Tremont Street at Winter Street, Boston)
  • Charles/MGH (325 Cambridge Street, Boston)

Orange Line

Due to maintenance work, shuttles will replace Orange Line service between Ruggles and Tufts Medical Center at those stations. Back Bay and Mass. Ave stops are also affected.

The MBTA recommends taking the Green Line and Route 1 bus for faster travel.

All shuttle buses and stops are accessible to persons with disabilities, and connections between shuttles and stations are free of charge.
