The family of Rhonda LeRocque, the Tewksbury mother killed in the Las Vegas massacre, is asking for help with expenses as they prepare to bring their beloved family member home to her final resting place in Massachusetts.

GoFundMe campaign created by LeRocque’s aunt, Gloria Murdock, lays bare the family’s suffering. Murdock explains that any money raised would help pay to fly LeRocque’s mother out to Las Vegas “to say her goodbyes” before her body is cremated, in addition to assisting with medical and burial expenses. The money will also help LeRocque’s husband, Jason, and their 6-year-old daughter, Ali, with “future needs.”

“Rhonda will need to be flown home to her loved ones,” Murdock writes.

As of Tuesday morning, the campaign had raised more than $6,000 of its $25,000 goal.

On Monday, relatives posted on Facebook about the loss of the beloved “Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter and Niece” who touched so many lives.

“My heart is broken, I’m numb, I feel paralyzed. This doesn’t seem real,” wrote Korina Champagne, LeRocque’s sister. “All I can do is turn to God’s Word for comfort, just as she would want me to.”

Another family member said that LeRocque was a “young mom, a wife, and a woman after God’s own heart.”
