Husband of Lynn teacher due in court, charged with her death
The husband of a Lynn elementary school teacher found dead in her home this past weekend is expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court Wednesday on a charge of murder.
Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office alleges that Andrew MacCormack, 29, killed his wife, Vanessa MacCormack, in their Revere home and then “made concerted efforts to clean up the crime scene and dispose of related items’’ before calling 911.
Vanessa MacCormack, a second-grade teacher at the William P. Connery Elementary School, was found dead just after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday with “blunt force injury to the head, sharp force injuries to the neck, and asphyxiation,’’ according to Conley’s office.
The couple married in 2015 and have a 1-year-old daughter.
Neighbor Lou Falzarano, 52, told the Globe he saw Andrew MacCormack Saturday afternoon. He said MacCormack “was shaking, crying, saying, ‘What am I going to do without her? I can’t believe somebody . . . Did this to her.’ ’’
