Rockport police searching for man who allegedly exposed himself to a girl at the beach

Police are searching for this suspect, who allegedly exposed himself to a teenage girl.

Rockport police are searching for a man who allegedly exposed himself to a teenage girl at Long Beach on Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement.

At approximately 3 p.m., a group of four girls approached an officer to report that a man had exposed himself to one of them while in the water. The 14-year-old victim and her friends were able to point out the man, who was about 100 yards away walking toward the Guard Shack, police said.

The suspect then fled when the officer pursued him, and a search of the area by law enforcement and lifeguards was unsuccessful, according to police.

Police released a photo of the man and said he appeared to be in his 40s. Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact Rockport police at 978-546-1212.
