The Obamas are reportedly returning to Martha’s Vineyard this weekend
Former President Barack Obama and his family are apparently keeping up their tradition of enjoying summer days on Martha’s Vineyard. According to the Martha’s Vineyard Times, the former first family is returning to the island this weekend and will stay in the town of Chilmark. Ann Crook, general manager of the Martha’s Vineyard Airport, told the newspaper of the Obamas’ visit and said it will not necessitate restrictions on airspace, as was the case when the 44th president was in office.“It’s a little more than your run-of-the-mill celebrity, but not much,” she said. During his presidency, the Obamas retreated to the Massachusetts island each year, except in 2012 when the former commander-in-chief was running for re-election.In the past, Obama spent his vacation time golfing with some high-profile partners, including NBA players Ray Allen and Steph Curry, former president Bill Clinton, and comedian Larry David. Last year, Obama broke from his more typical routine and went out on the town several nights in a row.
