Police: Man leaves child unattended in Dunkin’ Donuts, overdoses in bathroom

A 26-year-old Boston man allegedly left a child unattended in a New Hampshire Dunkin’ Donuts Saturday evening while he overdosed on heroin in the restaurant’s bathroom, according to police.

Christopher Morrissey entered the restroom to ingest the drug, police said, leaving the 9-year-old boy who was with him in the dining area of the Manchester restaurant, at 855 Candia Road. According to police, the boy alerted an employee that Morrissey had been in the bathroom for a long time, which prompted the employee to enter. Morrissey was unconscious, police said, and an employee then called 911. Emergency personnel administered Narcan and transported Morrissey to Elliot Hopsital, according to police.
