Brockton cat gets shot in eye by a blowgun dart
Animal control officials are trying to find out who is responsible for shooting a cat in the eye with a dart over the weekend.
“The thing was sticking out right out of his eye,” Sean Mahon, the cat’s owner, told The Enterprise. “Someone shot it in there, stabbed him, I don’t know. It was awful. He curled up for 24 hours, I thought he was going to die.”
Mahon said the cat, named Tato, is now feeling better, but his eye might need to be removed.
On Facebook, Brockton’s animal control department stated: “The object found to be impaled was discovered to be a handmade dart suspected to have been fired from a blowgun.”
The department is unsure if the incident was intentional, and have asked the public for help identifying the person responsible.
