Trump v. Warren, Part 300: 

President Donald Trump is defending the Republican health care bill against criticisms from a broad range of critics, including President Barack Obama and Elizabeth Warren. In response to the Massachusetts senator’s claim that “people will die” due to bill, Trump responded with ad hominem attacks: “I call her Pocahontas, and that’s an insult to Pocahontas.”

Walsh feeling good: Boston Mayor Marty Walsh has a pretty good edge in his reelection bid against his challenger, City Councilor Tito Jackson, a fellow Democrat. According to a Boston Globe/Suffolk University poll released Friday, Walsh’s lead is 31 percentage points.

Big ceremony for Big Papi:The Red Sox retired David Ortiz’s No. 34 jersey Friday. The pregame ceremony was beautiful; Ortiz’s ceremonial first pitch was not.

Dalai Lama in town: Hundreds gathered Sunday morning at Boston’s Sheraton Hotel to hear the Tibetan monk’s message — even if it wasn’t delivered in English. The Dalai Lama will leave the city Monday after his row of weekend events.

More changes for marijuana in Massachusetts: 

Lawmakers in the House and Senate are working to merge two recently passed bills rewriting parts of last year’s ballot measure to legalize recreational marijuana in the state. They’re hoping to get legislation to Gov. Charlie Baker’s desk by Friday, almost exactly a year before it becomes legal to sell marijuana in Massachusetts.
